BLUEHEAD SUCKERS

The Navajo Zoo has several Bluehead Suckers in the native fish aquarium in the Discover Center. Our Bluehead Suckers came to the Zoo in 2010 from the San Juan River on the Navajo Nation. They are unnamed because they have not been adopted through the Zoo's Adopt-an-Animal Program.

FLANNELMOUTH SUCKERS

The Navajo Zoo has several Flannelmouth Suckers in the native fish aquarium in the Discover Center. These fish came to the Zoo in 2010 from the San Juan River on the Navajo Nation. Our Flannelmouth Suckers are unnamed because they have not been adopted through the Zoo's Adopt-an-Animal Program.

SPECKLED DACE

The Navajo Zoo has several Speckled Dace in the native fish aquarium in the Discover Center. Our Dace came to the Zoo in 2010 from the San Juan River on the Navajo Nation. They are unnamed because they have not been adopted through the Zoo's Adopt-an-Animal Program.

NON-NATIVE FISH

The Navajo Zoo has numerous Non-Native (Exotic) Fish in the non-native fish aquarium in the Discover Center. We try to keep a number of Bluegill, Rainbow Trout, Yellow- and Black Bullhead Catfish, Goldfish and Koi. None of these fish are named because they have not been adopted through the Zoo's Adopt-an-Animal Program.
